The Department of Economics at James Madison University seeks to fill a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position for the 2022-23 academic year. Candidates must have strong interest in undergraduate teaching and an active research agenda. A PhD or ABD and teaching experience are preferred. The teaching load is 3-3 with no more than two preparations per semester. Candidates will be expected to teach introductory economics classes in addition to an upper-level elective course. Special attention will be given to those candidates who can teach a course on environmental economics. Class instruction is expected to be in-person.
