This position is located in the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation’s (PBGC) Policy, Research, and Analysis Department (PRAD).
As part of a dynamic team of Economists and Actuaries!
At the GS12/13 the ideal candidate will serve as an expert Economist and conduct analyses and research in support of complex policy discussions and decisions affecting PBGC and PBGC-insured pensions, addresses concerns of outside interests, and assist with the collection and validation of data from various sources.
At the GS-14 the ideal candidate will serve as an authoritative Staff Economist. The individual determines the statistical and economic data required to support PBGC's varied needs; may represent PBGC in high level meetings with other Federal agencies engaged in the gathering, compilation, and analysis of economic data; and plans and develops an integrated economic research program that is responsive to significant and vital needs for sound economic analysis to support complex policy decisions or address substantial concerns of outside interests.
** Experience with stochastic projection modelsis highly desirable.
