The Department of Economics (https://www.lsu.edu/business/economics/) invites applications for a full-time one-year visiting Assistant Professor position to begin in fall 2022. Teaching experience is desirable. The successful applicant will teach a PhD-level course in health economics during the fall semester. The course provides the fundamental blocks of the theory of health economics with some empirical applications. Other courses to be taught are undergraduate health economics and principles of microeconomics.

Applicants must have a PhD in Economics by August 2022. Associate or Full Professors, who would like to teach only in the fall semester, are also encouraged to apply.

Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The Department has a strong research orientation and offers B.A., B.S., M.S, and Ph.D. degrees in Economics. The cover letter should include a statement about the approach to teaching health economics. Junior applicants should also arrange for three recommendation letters to be submitted.
