Our interdisciplinary team conducts research focused on understanding the policy, environmental, individual, and product factors that influence tobacco use trajectories with a particular focus on novel tobacco products (e-cigarettes, HTPs). We are accepting applications for a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship which will provide a mentored research experience and training in quantitative research methods. Preference will be given to high performing PhD graduates with advanced training and experience in statistics or quantitative methodology, particularly in longitudinal survey methodology and analysis and/or behavioral economics. A background in public health, epidemiology, health economics, or related disciplines is highly desired.

The Georgia State University (GSU) School of Public Health gives students a practical education in a thriving urban center, creating leaders to address the complex health problems affecting cities worldwide. The Postdoctoral Research Associate (fellow) will be mentored by the projects’ primary investigators and other project faculty with decades of experience in statistical and advanced quantitative methods, health economics and econometric, and tobacco regulatory science: Katherine Masyn, Scott Weaver, Jidong Huang, Terry Pechacek, Claire Spears, and David Ashley.
