A fixed term appointment for 2 years

We are looking to expand our team work on the distributional impacts of the low carbon transition, focusing on the impacts on vulnerable workers and firms. The post holder will contribute to research towards an ESRC funded multi-centre project Productive and Inclusive Net Zero (PRINZ): Opportunities and barriers in the transition to sustainable and equitable growth. PRINZ is a multi-year, multi-partner research and engagement project funded by the ESRC partners with Oxford University, Imperial College, Centre for Economic Performance at the LSE, the University of Leeds, the University of Surrey, and Nesta. The project will undertake multi-disciplinary empirical research, knowledge transfer and engagement activities to inform, through multi-disciplinary empirical analysis, the UK debates on economic productivity, regional prosperity and the transition to net zero greenhouse gas emissions. LSE leads the work stream on interaction between the demand for green skills in the low carbon transition and firm-level productivity and innovation strategies. We are looking for individuals who are excited about communicating their research to decisions makers.

Candidates are expected to have, or be about to complete, a PhD in Environmental Economics, Labour Economics, Applied Econometrics, Economics or a related field.
