Full Text of JOE Listing:
Department of Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics, applicants for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointment may begin on or after January 1, 2023. Review of applications will begin Aug. 15, 2022.
Applicants must possess, or be nearing completion of, a Ph.D. in Agricultural, Environmental or Resource Economics, or a related area. The successful applicant will have demonstrated expertise in advanced quantitative and statistical methods (must have advanced econometrics or statistics courses in their Ph.D. program). The Department is seeking an applied environmental or resource economist with a record of research in topics at the intersection of agriculture, the environment, and natural resources, however, the department is also open to related areas.
The successful applicant will:
- Develop an internationally-recognized research program, which will include publishing in top-ranked peer-reviewed scientific journals and securing research funding from government (national and international), industry, and other sources.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of courses and programs and teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and supervise graduate student research projects.
- Contribute service to the discipline closest to their degree, as well as to the province, university, faculty, and department.
