The Department of Economics, in the College of Business at University of Central Florida, seeks to fill a tenure-earning assistant professor position. The position results from a strategic College initiative. The candidate selected will participate in business-analytics programs at undergraduate and graduate levels.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Economics or related discipline from an accredited institution is required by date of hire. Applicants must be academically qualified under AACSB standards to teach at the master’s
and undergraduate level. Advanced graduate coursework in econometrics, statistics, or machine learning is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
A record of success in teaching business analytics and/or related courses and demonstrated versatility in teaching business analytic applications across different business areas—for example, Marketing, Finance, and Sport Business—is preferred. Experience applying business analytics through consulting, professional time in business or government and/or similar meaningful activities is desirable. Demonstrated potential to publish original research in Economics or related disciplines is also preferred.
