The University of Michigan, Department of Economics invites tenure track applications in any field. The Department expects to have multiple positions at all ranks available, subject to budgetary approval, with an anticipated start date of August 28, 2023 with a University-Year appointment. Duties include: teaching and research in Economics, advising students and providing service to the department and university. Ph.D. in Economics or related field required, with Ph.D. expected by August 27, 2023 for junior applicants. Research capacity and teaching ability serve as the primary criteria for selection.

Junior applicants must submit curriculum vitae, job market paper, three reference letters, a statement of teaching philosophy and experience, a statement of current and future research plans, evidence of teaching excellence, and a diversity statement to the Department’s relevant job posting on EconJobMarket at https://www.econjobmarket.org. First consideration will be given to applications submitted by November 7, 2022, but applications will continue to be considered until the position is filled.
