The Department of Economics at the University of Houston invites applications for 4 promotion-eligible, non-tenure track Instructional Assistant Professor positions starting Fall 2023. Join an innovative group of scholars dedicated to producing top-flight research while training our students in the latest techniques in economic analysis. We offer BA, BS, and PhD degrees in Economics, and MA degrees in Applied Economics. For more information, please visit our website http://www.uh.edu/class/economics/.

The primary responsibilities for each Instructional Assistant Professor will be teaching 6 sections per academic year (undergraduate and master level) in the Fall and Spring semesters. Experience and enthusiasm for teaching courses with strong writing, research, or quantitative analysis components are preferred. Candidates interested in teaching time series analysis, labor economics, and financial economics are encouraged.

Candidates are expected to assist with one of the following department's undergraduate activities: career and internship counseling services, Micro Principles online section management, Macro Principles online section management, and aiding the Undergraduate Director with organizing the degree programs. Responsibilities may change as the needs of the programs may evolve.
