The Economic Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City seeks to hire new and experienced Ph.D. economists with research interests in applied econometrics and macroeconomics. Primary responsibilities include advising the Bank's president and senior management on policy issues, writing, and presenting research findings in peer-reviewed journals, and writing articles for the Bank's external publications. Qualified candidates should possess strong analytical and communication skills and demonstrate the potential to collaborate with other researchers. Candidates for a senior-level position must also exhibit strong leadership skills and the ability to set research and policy agendas. A Ph.D. in economics or finance is required. Excellent resources include a collaborative work environment, high-quality research assistants, a high-performance computing environment, and the in-house Federal Statistical Research Data Center (KC FSRDC). Candidates with particular interest in utilizing the FSRDC are encouraged to apply.
