The Business and Economics Department at Ursinus College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall 2023. Responsibilities include teaching microeconomics with electives in international trade and international finance, senior capstone courses, and the interdisciplinary Common Intellectual Experience (CIE) seminar for first-year students. The teaching load is five courses (four credit-hours each) per year, with one course release in the first year. Tenure-track faculty are also expected to establish a program of scholarship, supervise student research and honors projects, and take part in academic advising of majors and first-year students.

The department welcomes applications from candidates with additional interests in teaching econometrics, data analytics, or even writing and speaking, as the department’s curriculum encourages development of communication skills. Interest in interdisciplinary research and teaching is a plus, as the college has recently implemented an innovative core curriculum that encourages such endeavors.

Qualifications

All requirements for a Ph.D. in economics or a related field should be completed by August 2023.
