The Department of Economics at Appalachian State University invites applications for one tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level to begin Fall 2023. The department welcomes candidates that have or will develop a distinguished research program in any area of economics. The appointee is expected to maintain an active research agenda leading to publications in quality peer-reviewed journals, to provide quality instruction for diverse teaching needs, and to participate in service activities. In particular, the department seeks candidates with the willingness and expertise to teach courses in applied econometrics and/or time-series and forecasting models at the undergraduate level, and the graduate level for programs such as Master of Science in Applied Data Analytics and Master of Business Administration. Candidates should mention in their cover letter how their interests, experience, education, and knowledge of statistical software link to these teaching needs.
