The Economics Department at the University of Maryland, College Park is seeking to fill a position of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. This person also will serve as Associate Director of the MS Program in Applied Economics. This is a full-time 12-month non-tenure track renewable faculty position with a preferred start date of February 27, 2023 and no later than July 1, 2023.

This position includes both administrative and instructional responsibilities. The Associate Director will work collaboratively with the Executive Director to help administer all aspects of the program (Admissions; Student Advising; Curriculum Implementation, Evaluation and Development; Faculty Recruitment, Support and Alumni Relations; Supervision of Program Staff). In addition, the Associate Director will teach 3 or 4 evening courses per year in the program.

Minimum Qualifications:
• PhD in Economics
• Equivalent of four years of teaching experience.
• Some previous experience with administrative responsibilities and/or departmental service.
