Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is hiring an Associate Professor in Economics, specialising in Macroeconomics in the School of Economics and Finance. This position is permanent full-time commencing mid-2023 (negotiable). The role combines research and teaching. Teaching will be at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and include supervision of students. Located next door to New Zealand’s Government institutions there are opportunities related to fiscal, monetary, and policy issues for those interested.
Upon negotiation, this role could have a 0.2 FTE research collaboration with the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. While this appointment is for Associate Professor in Economics, the school is also seeking interests at Lecturer and Senior Lecturer levels. The successful applicant will possess a relevant PhD and a proven record of high-quality publications in Macroeconomics and adjacent fields. You will have experience teaching in Macroeconomics, and potentially other areas.
