The Department of Government is hiring a Postdoctoral Fellow. We are seeking a junior scholar to work on a series of projects examining the impact of voter mobilization efforts on the participation of people with felony convictions in an experimental setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied microeconomic techniques, be a proficient programmer (preferably R) and hold a PhD in economics, political science, or adjacent field at least 15 days before starting. It is expected that the fellow will be a co-author on one or more projects from the work. The expectation is that the fellow will spend 50% of their time working on the project for which they are hired, and 50% of their time dedicated to their own research. The position is a two year post-doc, beginning in August 2023.
Project team: The fellow will work closely with Dr. Hannah Walker (UT-Austin) and Dr. Ariel White (MIT). Project team members also include Drs. Allison Harris (Yale) and Jennifer Doleac (Texas A&M).
