The College of Business Administration at Winthrop University invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance position beginning in August 2023. A successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and MBA-level courses in economics and finance. The standard teaching load is three courses (9 credit hours) per semester. The position may be converted into a tenure-track position, based on budget availability and need.

The position requires a Ph.D. in Economics with a field in Financial Economics (fields in other areas with a background and teaching interest in Finance may also be considered) or Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB-accredited university. ABDs will be considered.

Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until a suitable candidate is identified (with a priority review date of March 9). Winthrop University, located in the Charlotte, NC metropolitan region, is a liberal arts, masters-granting state university.
