The Department of Economics at Illinois State University invites applications for a nine-month faculty position at the rank of Instructional Assistant Professor or Lecturer for the 2023-2024 academic year. The department welcomes candidates with an active or developing research agenda in any field of economics. Teaching duties may include principles of microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, introductory statistics, environmental and resource economics, and related applied microeconomics courses. A master’s degree in Economics and teaching experience is required, but candidates with a Ph.D. or ABD are preferred.

Qualified candidates are requested to electronically submit a cover letter summarizing qualifications, teaching interests, and research interests; Curriculum vitae including a list of courses taught; Reference list (at least three professional references and contact information); A statement of teaching philosophy; Evidence of teaching effectiveness.
