The Department of Economics in the College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship position. We seek outstanding applicants with demonstrated research interests in issues of Race, Equity and Inequality in U.S. and abroad, with specific interest in economic issues impacting African American and African/African diasporic communities. The fellow will pursue individual research interests in these areas and/or collaborate with faculty on research projects leading to journal publications. The fellow will be made an affiliate of the Center on Race and Wealth and will have the opportunity to teach if desired, but teaching is not a requirement. The appointment will be for two years. This position is funded
by a grant from the Sloan foundation.

Required Qualifications:
• Earned doctorate in economics or related fields with experience in data science and machine learning from an accredited institution;
• Experience in programming or statistical tools, including R, Python, GIS and Stata;
• Record or promise of scholarship, teaching, and professional service commensurate with the postdoctoral level;
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
