The HKUST Department of Economics invites applications for teaching-track (non-tenure) position(s). The appointees will have primary responsibilities in continuing the development of and co-teaching a new undergraduate course “Writing as an Economist” and teaching other introductory-level foundation courses for undergraduate program students. Candidates should hold a doctorate in Economics or a closely related discipline, demonstrate excellent teaching, and have experience writing economics content for non-academic audiences.

Both full-time and part-time positions will be considered. Successful candidate(s) for the full-time position is (are) also expected to take responsibility for planning, coordination and administration of the UG program in the department. Initial appointment is for one or two years and may be renewable.
