Job Title: Vice President, Research & Development
Established in 1964, the Oakland-based California Workers’ Compensation Institute (CWCI), a leading public policy research group dedicated to improving the California workers’ compensation system, seeks an experienced candidate to conduct and lead its research activities.
Responsibilities:
• Manage highly experienced researchers and participate in establishing and implementing CWCI’s research agenda.
• Conduct public policy research, draft reports, and design/build supportive analytic tools
• Create and deliver live presentations for members, conferences, and legislative/administrative committees.
Primary Qualifications:
This leadership position offers a unique opportunity for professional development in a stimulating environment. Candidates should have experience in analyzing medical and/or disability data and possess excellent data and research skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. A college degree and at least five years of experience in health services research, statistics, business analysis, public policy or a related field is required. A graduate degree and experience in or knowledge of the California workers’ compensation system is preferred, but not essential.
Salary is competitive and negotiable, depending upon qualifications and experience. The compensation package includes comprehensive benefits.
