The Economics Department at Lafayette College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in public economics beginning July 1, 2024. Applicants should be committed to excellence in both undergraduate teaching and scholarly research. The teaching load for this position is 4 courses in the first year and 5 courses thereafter. Teaching responsibilities include at least one elective in public economics, courses required for the major including Intermediate Macroeconomics and courses that contribute to either the College’s Common Course of Study or its interdisciplinary programs. The college provides a paid pre-tenure research leave, mentoring, and research support. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Economics or expect to complete all requirements by August 15, 2024.
