About the opportunity
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine and Health are partners in an exciting new research initiative -- the ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course Centre
This position is based in the School of Economics within Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney, in the research program on the cognitive science of disadvantage which encompasses a broad range of issues in neuroeconomics, behavioural economics and cognitive psychology including mental health, child health and development; education; sleep disorders; youths and risky behaviour.
The successful candidate will work with Prof. Deborah Cobb-Clark on the research agenda exploring the role of personality traits.
About you
• completed a PhD in Economics
• evidence of a strong research interest in behavioural economics generally, and the role of personality traits and economic preferences in economic decision making in particular
• evidence of the ability to conduct independent economic research and assume responsibility for the development and completion of research papers
• demonstrated ability to work as part of a research team, and work with other members of staff to meet the aims and deadlines of a project
• a track record in research and writing and the potential to develop further research expertise through various projects.
