The Department of Economics at Rice University in Houston, TX invites applications for a Full or Associate professor position to begin July 1, 2024.
Rice University in Houston, Texas seeks Full/Associate Professor in Economics to teach undergraduate and graduate classes, perform high-quality research and publish in peer-reviewed publications. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in economics or related field.
The Economics Department is a dynamic unit within Rice’s School of Social Sciences that has hired over a dozen outstanding scholars in recent years and is committed to pathbreaking research and exceptional teaching. Houston is a cosmopolitan and diverse city, characteristics that are reflected in the University, including academic resources in women and gender issues, African and African American studies, Latinx and Latin American studies, and Asian studies, as well as the Baker Institute for Public Policy, the Kinder Institute for Urban Research, the Texas Policy Lab, and interdisciplinary efforts like the Collective for Research on Inequality and Social Equity.
