The Department of Family & Consumer Studies (FCS) at the University of Utah invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position to begin July 2024.

FCS seeks a candidate who will strengthen our curricular and research capacity in the area of Financial Planning & Counseling and Family Economics. We are especially interested in scholars whose research addresses issues related to family economic well-being and financial health, with connections to public policy.

By the time of appointment, applicants must have a doctoral degree in Personal Financial Planning, Consumer Sciences, Economics, Finance, and similar fields. CFP® certification or being on the track of earning one is strongly desired. Candidates should have an excellent publication and teaching record and show potential to generate extramural research support.
