The Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama is seeking a candidate for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Urban Economics and Real Estate in the Department of Economics, Finance, and Legal Studies. Primary duties will include, engaging in a research program that results in articles in high-quality scholarly publications, teaching economics and real estate classes at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University.
Required Qualifications: (1) A doctoral degree in economics, finance, real estate or a closely related field; (2) a demonstrated potential for publishing in top academic journals and a strong research pipeline given the applicant's career stage; and (3) evidence of high-quality teaching.
Preferred Qualifications: Applicants are encouraged from a broad range of disciplines (e.g., business, economics, finance, public policy, real estate, urban planning). Research and teaching interest in the field of applied/urban economics and/or real estate are encouraged.
