Assistant Professor, Economics (Riverside City College)

Salary Range: $77,868 - $119,975  

Basic Function: The successful candidate will be responsible for instruction in introductory courses: introduction to economics, macroeconomics, microeconomics and political economy. The assignment may include other courses in the discipline or in the Honors program.  
Education: Minimum qualification is a Master's degree in economics; or Bachelor's in economics and Master's in business, business administration, business management, business education, finance, or political science; OR the Equivalent. Ph.D. is preferred. (All degrees and units used to satisfy minimum qualifications shall be from accredited institutions).  

Experience: A minimum of two years of successful experience teaching of Economics courses at a community college or baccalaureate level institution is required. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about culturally responsive pedagogical techniques and practices for engaging our diverse student population in addition to having the ability to teach well; create and develop curriculum; work well with others (students, faculty, staff, and administrators); and fulfill the contractual agreement of a full-time faculty member in a shared governance environment.
