Sun Yat-sen University, founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen and with an educational tradition spanning over 100 years, is a preeminent research, academic and cultural center and the premier location for talent development in South China. Lingnan College at Sun Yat-sen University is a leading school of economics in China. Its undergraduate, Maters are all ranked one of the best in China. It has established long-term and profound relationship with over 50 renowned schools across the globe, including MIT Sloan School of Management, and University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.

We invite applications from qualified individuals for Full-time Faculty Positions of all ranks in Economics. Compensation packages are competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.


Positions and Requirements:

1. Professor (Tenured)

Have strong academic records, and have made significant achievements and contributions in talent cultivation or academic research that have been widely recognized both domestically and internationally; have significant influence and academic status both domestically and internationally, able to lead the discipline field in striving towards or reaching globally leading standards; have outstanding leadership and organizational skills.

2. Associate Professor (Tenured):
Have strong academic records and have made achievements and contributions in talent cultivation or academic research that have been recognized both domestically and internationally; have strong influence and academic status at home and abroad, able to maintain the academic standards of discipline field; able to become an independent academic leader in the discipline field.

3. Associate Professor (Tenure-track):
Have strong scientific research capabilities, with high-level achievements in talent cultivation or academic research; have some academic influence both domestically and internationally; have the potential to become an academic leader or outstanding scholar in the discipline field.

4. Assistant Professor (Tenure-track):
Have a broad academic horizon, strong innovative thinking skills and a solid research foundation; have published at least 3 research articles at high-quality academic journals in economics; able to achieve high-level academic results; have substantial potential for academic development.

5. Post-doctoral Fellows (Full-Time/Renewable)
Have received the doctoral degree in the past three years; possess an international academic vision, high academic standards and strong scientific research ability. Have published at least 1 research article at high-quality academic journals in economics (Candidates with outstanding research records and potential will have opportunities to highly competitive assistant-professor-level packages.)
