Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Department of Economics in the Sam M Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor in the field of applied microeconometrics beginning in Fall 2024. Expertise in machine learning/high-dimensional models and/or causal inference is preferred. In addition to competitive compensation, the college provides resources including start-up packages and excellent technical support.
Required Qualifications: (1) A doctoral degree in economics; (2) High-quality research in applied microeconometrics (3) the potential to produce high quality academic research in leading journals and secure external research funding; (4) a commitment to high quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants are expected to have earned a Ph.D. in economics by August 12, 2024.
Preferred Qualifications: (1) Expertise in machine learning/high-dimensional models and/or causal inference; (2) Research in applied fields including development, education, health, industrial organization, micro-based behavioral economics and urban economics.
