The Department of Economics (https://www.lsu.edu/business/economics/) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank to begin in Fall 2024. Applicants should have strong research skills in state-of-the-art methods in applied econometrics, and expertise in one of the fields listed in the JEL classifications above.
The Associate Professor rank comes with tenure. Associate Professors and senior Assistant Professors are highly encouraged to apply. ABD candidates will be considered but they should receive their Ph.D. in Economics by August 2024. Senior applicants must have a strong research record and junior candidates must show promise for the development of a solid research agenda. The successful candidate is expected to teach graduates and or undergraduate courses in at least one of the areas listed above.
Applicants should arrange for three recommendation letters to be submitted.
The Department has a strong research orientation and offers B.A., B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Economics.
