The Department of Economics (https://www.lsu.edu/business/economics/) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin in Fall 2024.

New and prospective PhDs and advanced Assistant Professors are encouraged to apply. ABD candidates should receive their Ph.D. in Economics by August 2024. Advanced applicants must have a strong research record and a well-established research agenda while junior applicants must have promise for the development of a strong research agenda. The successful candidate is expected to teach macroeconomics courses in the Ph.D., Masters, and the undergraduate degree programs.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, job market paper, and copies of selected research papers, and arrange for three recommendation letters to be submitted.

The Department has a strong research orientation and offers B.A., B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Economics.
