The Department of Economics (https://www.lsu.edu/business/economics/) invites applications to fill a tenure-track position in econometrics at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2024.

New and prospective PhDs, as well as senior Assistant Professors, are encouraged to apply. ABD candidates should receive their Ph.D. in Economics by August 2024. The successful candidate is expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in econometrics. Preference will be given to candidates who also have an interest in applied research. Applicants must have a solid research record or promise for the development of a strong research agenda.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, copies of selected research papers, and graduate transcripts. They should also arrange for three recommendation letters to be submitted.

The Department has a strong research orientation and offers B.A., B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in economics.
