The Department of Economics and Finance at The University of the South seeks applications for a tenure-track position in Finance to join a vibrant department starting in Fall 2024. Ideally, candidates will have completed a Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, or a closely related field by August 2024 and have teaching and research interests in corporate finance, financial intermediation, asset pricing, or investments.
The successful candidate will teach five courses a year at the undergraduate level that will serve our growing Finance major as well as the University’s Business minor.
The department seeks to prepare Finance majors for the rigors of the financial world by emphasizing an understanding of the tools of data analytics. Thus, an ability to teach using Python, R, or similar analytical tools is desirable.
