The Department of Economics (https://www.lsu.edu/business/economics/) invites applications at the Associate Professor/Full Professor rank with tenure to begin in Fall 2024. Applicants for the Full Professor rank with outstanding publication records will be considered for the Freeport McMoran Endowed Chair. The successful scholar is expected to have an excellent record of high-quality research and productivity and an active research agenda that would result in future publications in top-tier economics journals and teach graduate and undergraduate courses in at least one of the following areas: Public Economics, Health, Labor, Law and Economics, Industrial Organization, Energy, or Environmental Economics.

Applicants should submit a cover letter,research agenda,and teaching experience; a curriculum vitae that includes a list of three references; and a sample of research papers.

The Department of Economics has a strong research orientation and offers B.A., B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Economics.
