Post Doctoral Scholar, Health and/or Labor Economics
Columbus, Ohio

The OSU Economics Department invites applications for up to three post-doctoral researchers in health and/or labor economics. The positions will be part of a collaborative team led by Professors Kurt Lavetti, Trevon Logan, and Cindy Colen studying how the social aspects of jobs and workplaces, including factors like workplace earnings inequality, influence health outcomes and minority health disparities. The positions offer opportunities for co-authorship on publications and have flexible durations from one to several years with renewal. Applications will be reviewed as they arrive. The positions have flexible starting dates any time between September 2023 through December 2024.

Candidates should have strong analytical skills, experience analyzing large and complex data sets, and strong organizational and administrative skills. Experience working with health claims records or administrative matched earnings records are a plus. A doctoral degree in economics, public policy and management, or public health is preferred.
