The Graduate School of Economics at the University of Tokyo invites applications for a project assistant professor position in empirical labor economics beginning in April 2024.
The project assistant professor will be employed for two years. In addition to conducting their own research, successful candidates are expected to work on project management and other tasks related to empirical research in the field of labor economics (principal investigator: Professor Shintaro Yamaguchi).
As the role involves collaborating with Japanese private firms, a high proficiency in Japanese is required for the position. Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in economics or a related field at the time of their appointment.
