The dual master's degree program at Northwestern University School of Education and Social Policy offers a rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum that equips students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to navigate and influence the complex nexus of social and economic policies. With course offerings in both economic theories and their application, our students are trained to approach challenges with a holistic perspective, bridging the gap between socio-political realities and economic imperatives. The program emphasizes both academic excellence and real-world application, ensuring graduates are prepared to make meaningful contributions in their chosen fields
Responsibilities:
• Teach and develop courses within the MSSEP, emphasizing areas such as applied macroeconomics, banking and regulation, public economics, health economics, and education economics.
• Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement, ensuring the program remains cutting-edge and responsive to the evolving landscape of social and economic policy.
• Engage in departmental and university service, including participating in faculty meetings, serving on committees, and contributing to outreach efforts.
• Mentor and advise students, guiding them through academic challenges, research endeavors, and career prospects.
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field.
• Proven track record of teaching excellence, preferably at the graduate level.
• Strong scholarly background in social and economic policy.
