The Department of Economics invites applications for two tenure-track positions. The appointments are expected to be at the rank of Assistant Professor, but appointment at a higher rank is possible under exceptional circumstances. We welcome applications from qualified candidates in any field of Economics. The start date of both positions is August 1, 2024.

Candidates should have completed their PhD or be near completion. An applicant’s record of performance must provide evidence of an innovative research portfolio. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to show a capacity to teach, mentor, and support students of diverse lived experiences, with a particular attention to women and other designated groups that are underrepresented in the discipline.

McGill University is an English-language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing.
