As part of its Annenberg Center for the Advanced Study of Communication, the Annenberg Public Policy
Center (APPC; http://www.annenbergpublicpolicycenter.org) of the University of Pennsylvania’s
postdoctoral fellowship program in the Science of Science Communication (SSC) is accepting
applications for the 2024-2025 academic year. Fellows in the program will work closely with other fellows
and senior researchers of APPC on scholarship designed to understand basic problems (e.g., source
credibility, communication processes, attitude change, belief formation, conspiracy theories, and
misinformation debunking) as well as policy-related ones (e.g., climate change, vaccines, and COVID-19).
The program is interdisciplinary and is currently led by Professor Dolores Albarracín.
First-year fellows will receive a stipend of $70,000 and serve in a 12-month appointment, beginning
September 1, 2024. Renewal for a second year is contingent upon performance and budgetary
considerations.
We are seeking fellows who apply a variety of disciplinary and methodological approaches, and have
completed a Ph.D. in a social, behavioral, or computational science within the last five years. Please note that the University of Pennsylvania limits post-doctoral appointments to a maximum of five years,
including time spent in post-doctoral appointments prior to joining Penn.
