We have two openings, one in Business Analytics, and one in any area in Econometrics, Business Analytics or Actuarial Science. As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you contribute to the Department's profile, engage in scholarly activities, play a major role in research and help shape the future of Actuarial Science, Business Analytics and Econometrics.
Key Responsibilities:
1- Conduct high quality and impactful research
2- Prepare and deliver lectures, workshops, and seminars
3- Supervise and engage with honours or postgraduate students
4- Attend departmental, school, and/or faculty meetings
Requirements:
1- A doctoral qualification in actuarial science, econometrics, statistics, data science, machine learning, operations research, or a closely related discipline (or be close to completing such a doctorate).
2- Lecturer: A commitment to top-tier journal publications. Senior Lecturer: evidence of high-quality scholarly activity, including publications in top-quality journals.
3- Possess a high level of interpersonal skills, motivating and actively engaging with students at a tertiary level.
4- Senior Lecturer only: Proven track record of obtaining significant external grants for research, coupled with enthusiasm for curriculum development.
