The School of Economics at the University of Nottingham is a top research and teaching institution with an international reputation for excellence across all areas of the discipline. We rank 5th in the UK according to the most recent UK Research Excellence Framework assessment and among the top 50 in the world according to the latest Tilburg University and IDEAS RePEc tables.
We are currently recruiting and have a number of positions available from 1 September 2024
The roles are:
• Associate Professor
• Assistant Professor
For the Assistant and Associate Professor positions, we invite applications from candidates with research interests in any area of economics, but we are particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates with expertise in macroeconomics and econometrics. To be successful for the Associate Professor positions, you will have established research reputations, excellent publication records. You will have the ability to attract external research funding, commitment to high quality teaching, leadership skills in both teaching and research, and a collegial approach to working with the School and the University. For the Assistant Professor positions, you will show strong potential in all of these areas. These positions will be offered on permanent contracts.
For all roles you are expected to have a PhD in Economics by the time of appointment.
Salaries for all posts will be commensurate with those offered by comparable Schools.
