The Department of Economics in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University has two openings beginning Fall 2024.
(1) Assistant or Associate Professor. Primary field is econometrics with research interests in the following fields: macro/monetary, micro, or applied microeconomics such as real estate, housing, or energy economics. Interest in AI/machine learning welcome. The preferred candidates at the Associate Professor rank should have teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level in econometrics.
(2) Assistant Professor. Microeconomics and Public finance with interest in game theory to the graduate level.
As a R1 research university, the Department offers Ph.D., M.S., B.S., and B.A. programs in Economics. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence in education through their scholarship, teaching, and/or service. Candidates should have strong potential for serving on dissertation committees, for procuring external funding and for outstanding research leading to publication in internationally recognized journals. Candidates may be considered for tenure based on their teaching experience and established research record in quality journal outlets in accordance with university guidelines.
