The Department of Economics at the American University of Beirut (AUB) invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level to begin on August 15, 2024.

We encourage candidates from all fields of Economics to apply. Successful candidates will teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and should be committed to research and teaching of the highest quality. The teaching load is four courses per year. The language of instruction is English.

Candidates must have a PhD in Economics or a closely related field (Finance, Public Policy, etc.) by the time of appointment. The initial appointment is for a period of three years to allow for a mid-tenure review.

Interested candidates should provide a cover letter, research and teaching statements, curriculum vitae, job market paper and names and contact information for three references. Letters of recommendation are not required at this time but will be requested from shortlisted applicants at a later date.
