The Economics Program, housed in the School of Social Science and Global Studies, at the University of Southern Mississippi invites applications for a full time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in August 2024. Ideal applicants will have teaching (3-3 load) and research interests in the field of macroeconomics. The position is open with respect to subfields. A Ph.D. in Economics is required by the time of the appointment.

Applicants must provide a cover letter, curriculum vitae, one or more working papers, evidence of effective classroom teaching and teaching statement, research agenda, a graduate transcript, and three letters of recommendation. The cover letter should describe current and projected research and teaching interests. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
