The Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at New York University is seeking a distinguished scholar to join the faculty as a tenured professor and Director for the Global TIES for Children Center. TIES, which stands for “Transforming Intervention Effectiveness and Scale,” is an international research center devoted to supporting human development and education in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and/or in conflict- and crisis-affected countries (CCACs). This full-time appointment will be made at the tenured associate or full professor level. We seek a candidate with demonstrated clear and significant impact on research, practice and policy in LMICs and/or CCACs to lead Global TIES for Children. Candidates who show a history of commitment to and skill in developing research/practice/policy partnerships to advance human development and education are especially encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate is expected to direct the Global TIES for Children Center, which was launched in 2015. The new Director will inherit some existing projects and staff but is expected to further develop the portfolio of projects and actively engage in fundraising, both for project-based as well as core funding and/or endowment support.
