Established in 2021, New Uzbekistan University (NewUU) is the first public autonomous university
in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, focused on nurturing a competitive workforce in STEM, Economics,
Management, and related fields to drive economic growth. It partners with prestigious institutions
like MIT and the Technical University of Munich.
The Department of Economics at NewUU is inviting applications for several positions at the assistant
or associate professor in the fields of microeconomics, macroeconomics, or econometrics and data
science. We are looking for highly qualified candidates who are committed to a career in research
and teaching. The appointments start in August 2024.
Candidates for an assistant professor position are required to hold a Ph.D. in Economics before the
start of the appointment. Candidates for an associate professor position should demonstrate a
proven research record in related disciplines and an interest in institution building.
