The University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a Professor of Teaching - Open Ranks (i.e., Assistant, Associate, and Full) in Economics. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Teaching Professors are full members of the academic senate and are eligible for Security of Employment, equivalent to tenure. The Department is looking for individuals with experience in, or strong potential for, teaching Economics at the undergraduate level, as well as for contributing to the curriculum and pedagogy of the Department. The posted UC salary scales (https://ap.ucsb.edu/compensation.and.benefits/ucsb.salary.scales/3L.pdf) set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. The current base salary range for this position is $103,700 - $250,000. “Off-scale salaries" and other components of pay, which would yield compensation that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.
