Princeton University Library (PUL) is recruiting a Finance and Operations Research Librarian (full-time position within the Dean of Faculty section) to support undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and staff in finance, operations research and economics. PUL provides world-class support for data-driven research in the social sciences. This position works closely with several social science librarians and specialists at Firestone and Stokes libraries and at the Data and Statistical Services unit. Liaison areas include research centers and degree programs. Core responsibilities include conducting research consultations, teaching workshops, and coordinating licensed services. Ability to understand and leverage data analysis tools, work with restricted and open data sets, and understand current research methodologies in economics, econometrics, and finance is critical. Collaboration skills are essential. Responsibilities include course-based instruction, outreach, developing research guides, and conducting workshops. Required Qualifications include relevant academic degrees, formal coursework in finance or economics, expertise with finance data, work experience in a research library and proficiency with related statistical software.
