The Daniels School of Business at Purdue University is actively seeking applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in the Quantitative Methods area, with an anticipated start date in the fall semester of 2024. Ideal candidates should hold a doctorate before the starting date in applied mathematics, computer science, economics, engineering, management science, operations research, statistics, or a closely related field.
We invite applications from individuals across various research areas within the Quantitative Methods domain. Particularly, we encourage candidates with a focus on data science methodologies and an interest in exploring the economic and social impact of analytics on institutional decisions and outcomes. Successful candidates should demonstrate the potential for leadership in research and the ability to conduct research that is publishable in top-tier academic journals. Additionally, the candidates are expected to deliver courses in data science, business statistics, and management science at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Among a wide range of graduate and undergraduate degree programs, Daniels School of Business has a very successful and highly ranked master’s program in Business Analytics and Information Management (MS BAIM). Building on this success, Daniels started to offer an undergraduate BAIM program in the Fall semester of 2022 to over 170 enrolled students. Both MS and BS BAIM programs are directed by the faculty in the Quantitative Methods area and the Management Information System area.
