The Department of Economics at North Carolina A&T State University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in macroeconomics at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The university is on the path to become a Research 1 (R1) institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for continuously publishing in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, actively engaging in grant funding opportunities, and developing and delivering high-quality course content in economics at the undergraduate and MBA levels, both on campus and online. Faculty members are also expected to actively engage in service to the department, college, university, community, and profession, as well as with external partners.

The position requires an earned doctorate in Economics by the anticipated date of appointment and demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and research appropriate to the level of appointment. Highly desirable candidates will have evidence of effective undergraduate teaching and an active research agenda leading to publication in high-quality journals. We also highly value candidates with experience in effective online teaching practices and an active record of professional service engagement.
