Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Oregon Department of Revenue is recruiting for a Senior Economist – Economist 4. We are looking for someone to join our Director’s Office in the Research Section. This position is headquartered in our Salem office; however, the successful candidate may be eligible for in state hybrid work.
In order to be considered for Department of Revenue recruitment, you must reside within (or be willing to relocate to) the state of Oregon.
Duties:
This position is responsible for describing the results of this analysis to the Governor's Office, legislature, media, and others.
Analyze existing or proposed tax laws to make an independent determination of their impact on revenue and to provide statistical summaries for public release.
Assist the agency by providing analytical support and using knowledge of the department's information systems to address operational issues.
Plan and lead one-time and recurrent research studies relating to factors that influence revenue flows to the department's tax programs, including studies on taxpayer behavior and the influence of the department's enforcement and administrative activities.
